The college offers admission in B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc., M.C.A., M.B.A., M.Sc., ME, M.Tech. and ph.D courses. Admission in B.E. and B.Tech programmes are given based on TNEA counselling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu. For the B.Sc. course, candidates marks in the 12th standard are taken into consideration. Kongu Engineering College admission to M.Tech. and M.B.A. courses is done based on Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by the Anna University. However, GATE score is also accepted for the M.Tech. programme. As per Kongu Engineering College admission criteria, candidates must participate in the TANCA and TANCET counselling for admission in M.Tech., M.E. and M.B.A. courses respectively. Bachelor degree marks are accepted for admission in the Master of Science (M.Sc.) programme.
