The college also offers lateral entry (direct admission to 2nd/3rd year of engineering) to those candidates who have completed their diploma or has equivalent qualification as recognized by VTU with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination need to obtain an eligibility certificate offered by VTU (not needed in case candidates have passed the examination from university or board of Karnataka).
Marks of Class 12 will not be added by the college for the calculation of merit.
