The B.Tech program of the institute takes admission through JEE MAINS results. The student will have to appear in the exam and then need to fill in the choice during the JoSAA counseling, and this is all India counselling for all national engineering institutes. The JoSAA counselling takes place in 8 rounds every year. But this year, the counselling took place in 6 rounds. The seats remain unfilled or vacant even after JoSAA counselling is filled and allotted by the CSAB counselling.
Every year Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad releases their cut-off list which comprises all the specializations and all the categories. The cut off is as per the opening and closing rank of JEE MAINS. Also, the cut off list is released as per the category of GEN, OBC, SC, and ST. The seats are also reserved in every specialization for different categories.
