Girls Hostel There are several hostels in the university. They are Malaimagal Illam, Sarada Illam, Kalaimagal Illam, Arpana Illam, Malarmagal Illam and Thirumagal Illam. There is also a separate hostel for postgraduate students and staff members. The hostel rooms are equipped with modern facilities and conveniences. The hostel canteen serves vegetarian food implementing a dividing system.
Gym Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women gym facilities include multi-stationed machines and other exercising accessories. Both the students and staff members can work out in the university gym for body fitness.
Library The university library is incorporated with modern technologies and has ample resources to support the learning and research activities of the students and faculty members.
Sports The university encourages its students to take part in sports to stay healthy and active. Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women sports facilities include courts and fields, indoor and outdoor halls. Some of the indoor and outdoor games available in the university are chess, carrom, table tennis, badminton, judo, weight lifting, cricket, football, basketball, hockey, kabaddi, volleyball, tennis, mallakhamb and athletics.
Cafeteria Avinashilingam University cafeteria serves healthy and nutritious meals to the students and staff members. The cafeteria runs on a non-profit basis and serves in all university functions and meetings. The canteen also provides practical exposure to Food Science Management and Dietetics department students.
Auditorium Swami Vivekananda and Thiruchitrambalam auditoriums are very spacious with a huge seating capacity. The auditoriums are used for organising events and seminars.
Medical/Hospital The university has an on-campus medical clinic. Qualified medical officer looks after the students, faculty and staff members. Avinashilingam University medical clinic facilities include ECG machine, germi autoanalyser, diagnosis machine, emergency drugs, etc. The NSS unit also conducts free medical camps and community nutritious camps for the local community.
Wifi The university campus is fully enabled with wi-fi. Outdoor and indoor access points are enabled with Sophos access points. Firewall Cyberoam is installed to provide network security and it eliminates the need for a network access control server, AAA server and WCS server.
IT Infrastructure Avinashilingam University IT infrastructure facilities cater to technological, computational and internet requirements of the students through its common computing centre. All computers are connected with the latest servers namely mail server, web server, proxy server, etc to provide students and faculty members access to e-journals, internet and resource sharing.
Laboratories Avinashilingam University laboratory facilities include modern instruments and apparatus for imparting practical knowledge to the students. Each department has its own laboratory.
