Boys Hostel Podhigai Boys Hostel is present at the campus for accommodation of boys. The hostel has basic amenities like 24 hours electricity, water supply, reading room, TV lounge, indoor games facilities etc. it offers a comfortable stay to students.
Girls Hostel The college has a separate girls hostel - Vaigai Girls Hostel. For the convenience of students, Vaigai Girls Hostel has basic facilities like wifi, RO water, reading room, power back, gym etc. The rooms of the hostel are spacious and ventilated.
Gym CIT Chennai gymnasium is equipped with modern equipment and is spread over 2128 sq ft. It helps students to attain their dream physique and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Library CIT Chennai library has adequate number of books and study material to help the students with their academics. A digital library with multimedia material is also available for the students.
Sports Chennai Institute of Technology sports facilities include courts for various outdoor sports like basketball, volleyball, cricket, etc. The institute also provides yoga classes to its students.
Cafeteria Chennai Institute of Technology canteen provides food to the students round the clock. Separate dining halls are present for boys and girls.
Auditorium The Shri. Parthasarathy Auditorium present at the campus has a seating capacity of 1500 people and it has a centralized AC system with sophisticated sound systems in place. Further, a mini auditorium with an accommodation capacity of 400 people is also present at the campus. The college also has modern seminar halls for conferences and workshops.
Medical/Hospital The Health Centre here at Chennai Institute of Technology is well equipped. It has separate inpatient facility for male and female students The health centre provides quality health care in a comfortable and confidential environment.The health centre is manned by a medical officer and a healthcare assistant to provide excellent medical care to all the students. The Medical Officer Dr. PAVITHRA MOHAN. M.B,B.S manages the various aspects of the facility, in the future we look forward in expanding and bringing in high techmedical equipments to serve better the students of our college.
IT Infrastructure College has a dedicated internet lab working 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We have a 20 Mbps 1:1 dedicated least line. The internet can be accessed from more than 540 computers. The campus intranet has important details about Test Schedules, Time Tables, Examination Schedules, Campus News etc., and a wealth of information about the college.The Centre has a 20 Mbps dedicated Internet link. The Centre supports an institute wide fiber optic network and wireless that connects all the academic departments, hostels, library and other central facilities to the Computer Centre.The Centre provides system administration and technical support which include Software installation, Network monitoring (both wired & wireless), Internet connection and digital library etc.It has a number of state-of-the-art Servers and licensed Application softwares.
Transport The institute provides bus service which connects to most parts of the Chennai city and neighbouring towns.
Laboratories CIT Chennai facilities include many laboratories which are provided to the students for experiential learning. These include Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab, Electrical & Electronics Lab, Manufacturing Technology lab (Mech Engg), Electrical Circuit Lab etc.
