Library Spread across 46,000 square feet, the Central Library at the Ramaiah Medical College is a repository of books, bound volumes and periodicals, accessible to students, residents and staff.The library is maintained well and regularly enriches its collection in order to allow users full access to current research tools and technologies. Besides, the library is an active member of “HELINET” consortium offering more than 675 indexed national and international journals. It has more than 62 computers with internet accessibility and facilities for scanning, printing and photocopying. In addition to that, a CD and Video based journal section with ‘Proquest’ system also made available to faculty, students and staff. The institution has over 19813 books & 10,862 back volumes and ambiance to meet the needs for academic enrichment.

Medical/Hospital The Ramaiah Medical College Hospital, founded in 1984, represents the Ramaiah Group’s commitment towards the two pillars of society, Health and Education. The Hospital offers teaching to undergraduate students and interns (MBBS and BPT). It also offers training to postgraduates during MD, MS and MPT. The Hospital houses all super specialties where DM and MCH residents get to practice.The 22 board general specialties include Medical and Allied, Surgical and Allied and OBG. The Super Specialities include Urology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Endocrinology, Vascular Surgery, Gastroenterology and Cardiology. Laboratories TWO OPERATIONAL LABS - MEDICAL SKILLS LAB - Postgraduates, undergraduates, and nursing students are taught the basics of surgery, Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and other skills, through mannequins, models and simulation techniques.CADAVERIC RESEARCH & TRAINING UNIT - This lab prepares and hosts cadavers that act as ‘near-life’ specimen. This helps postgraduate and medical professionals hone and advance their skills. The “Live Well, Leave Well” initiative ensures that cadaveric research at the ALC runs without pause, benefiting the medical community.
