Gym The air-conditioned fitness centre at MVJCE is spread over 3500 sq. ft., and is comparable to any of the commercial fitness centres in the city. It offers the latest cardio and weight training equipment to its faculty and students. It also has dedicated shower and locker room facilities for both men and women.
Library The Central Library is spread over 17,000 sqft, and houses more than 60,000 books and other documents. The Library subscribes to more than 60 national and international journals. The Library also subscribes to more than 2000 e-Journals through the INDEST-AICTE Consortium – IEL. It is a fully automated Library and one can search the Library database using the college network. The Library has a Circulation section, a Reference section and a spacious Reading room. The Digital Library section houses a good number of computers for browsing, accessing e-journals, e-books and for searching the Library database using OPAC. MVJCE also publishes an online MVJCE journal which covers the activities of R&D in engineering, science and technology management.
Sports We encourage and train our students to participate in national and international tournaments. Our dedication to sports extends to hosting the Dr M V Jayaraman Memorial Cricket Tournament and Smt Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Intercollegiate Volleyball Tournament, both prestigious tournaments on the intercollegiate circuit. Our carefully selected college teams for Cricket, Basketball, Handball, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Badminton and Kabaddi represent MVJCE in various competitions across the state and have won many accolades making MVJCE one of the feared competitors in the university.
Cafeteria There is a hygienic, multi-cuisine vegetarian cafeteria for both resident students and day scholars. A leading café chain has set up its operations on campus and offers a variety of coffees, sandwiches, pastries, etc.
Auditorium In addition to college functions, the auditorium is offered to companies and organizations to conduct large events and meetings. The auditorium is also supported by large parking spaces, and reception and lobby areas to greet and meet guests.
Medical/Hospital Medical facilities are available on campus through a dispensary staffed by a Medical Officer.
Wifi MVJCE is a Wi-Fi enabled campus and all students have access to the Wi-Fi network. In addition, a dedicated internet center with 120 computers is available for students to access online resources. Both Wi-Fi and wired connectivity are powered by a 100 mbps 1:1 link.
IT Infrastructure MVJCE constantly upgrades its IT facilities in order to make learning more creative, innovative and informative. The entire campus is enabled with Wi-Fi facility with a bandwidth of 100Mbps.There are 69 extendable Wi-Fi access points placed in various places like Library, corridors, Labs, hostel, Canteen and open areas inside the campus. The Internet connection is controlled and regulated by using a UTM device with a SOPHOS- antivirus and Antispam data base. Students and staff are provided with user name and password. Only after they login using their username and password they are allowed to access internet. Students' attendance is monitored through biometric attendance system. Biometric attendance recorded from various biometric devices for students and employees are loaded to server in the internet center. All application servers are centralized and maintained in the data centre. All departments have classrooms equipped with ICT facilities to enhance the teaching learning process. The computer labs of MVJCE are air-conditioned and provided with wifi and LAN facility. Labs are equipped with sufficient hardware and licensed software to run program specific curriculum and off program curriculum. Enough number of personal computers are available for the smooth conduction of the lab.
