Sports Mar Athanasius Academy has got its name in golden letters in the field of Sports and Games. The students have made outstanding achievements in international, national and university level competitions. The training and facilities given in the academy are remarkable. The management has instituted scholarships for the enhancement of sports in the campus. In recognition of achievements in sports, Sports Authority of India (SAI) selected Mar Athanasius College as its extension center. The college has provided the maximum number of men athletes in the All India Inter University Championship for the last three years and secured 14 Gold, 9 Silver, and 3 Bronze Medals.
