Boys Hostel The College has created the facility of hostels for Boys separately in order to provide a good environment for them to continue their studies in a healthy and caring atmosphere. In the SJEC Hostels, the efforts are to promote gentlemanliness, studiousness, and fulfillment of the dreams of parents who send students to the hostels. Well-lighted and well-ventilated rooms are provided to the students.Rooms are available as the single seater and double seaters.Each student is provided with a cot, cupboard, study table and chair.There are a warden and a staff in-charge for each hostel who look after the discipline and well-being of the hostel inmates.All amenities such as canteen, fax, phone, e-mail, banking and postal services are available in the vicinity.Medical facilities are provided by a competent visiting doctor and a dispensary. When further assistance is required, cases are referred to Fathers Muller's Medical College Hospital run by the Diocese of Mangalore.hostels have separate mess facility.Study Halls are provided in both the hostels.

Gym A well-equipped multi gymnasium facility is available for both men and women in their respective hostels.
Library The Central Library of the college has kept pace with emerging challenges, perhaps one of the best technical libraries in the region. The state of the art library stretches over 1789 square meters; the library has in its collection more than 41318 volumes with 9560 titles on Engineering, Science, Management, and Humanities and subscribes to 90 technical journals, 5727 online journals and 12 online databases. It has the capacity to accommodate 460 students at a time. It has a membership with VTU Consortium, DELNET, National Digital Library and it is enabled with Wi-Fi technology and CCTV Surveillance System.

Cafeteria Wholesome, hygienic and tasty food at reasonable prices. The canteen at St Joseph Engineering College is known for its student-friendly environment. It provides a wide variety of delicacies to cater the tastes of each individual. There are separate sections for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. At a time, nearly 250 students can be accommodated there.
