Cultre, supported by IIT Kanpur to launch Heritage Olympiad on Nov 14

The Olympiad aims at integrating heritage education in the mainstream curriculum by making it more accessible to the students at the school level. “The Olympiad will offer single-window access to India’s multi-faceted culture and history, which closely aligns with the latest National Education Policy and carries an interdisciplinary approach to art and cultural education,” said the press release.

Abhay Karandikar, Director, IIT Kanpur said, “SIIC has had a history of creating, supporting, and promoting technology and knowledge intensive innovations that uphold the Indian Heritage. Cultre’s Heritage Olympiad goes beyond just imparting knowledge around the subject; it also prompts people to learn about their country and its diverse history. I give my best wishes to Cultre for the second edition of the Olympiad and urge students to participate in it.”
