Baba Farid Law College, is a dream-come true of its Chairman S. Inderjit Singh Khalsa. It was established in 2004 with a aim of providing quality education in the area. It is a non profitable institution. Its campus is spread over 13 acres of land. It is state of the art having three storied two academic blocks, top-tombed hexagonal Administrative Block. The college is proud of its well stacked centrally air cooled and computerized Library, Staff Room, separate Common Rooms for boys and girls, Moot Court Hall, Lecture Theatre and an air conditioned Auditorium. Residential Quarters have also been provided for teaching and non teaching staff members. At the initial stage of College the management had applied originally for 80 seats each course but after the inspection of College, the inspection team also recommends that intake of 160 students (each course two sections) can be granted and College is well capable to handle this strength. Not even this recently the inspection team of Punjabi University Patiala also appreciates the class rooms, Moot Court Hall, Seminar Hall, Smart Classes, Cafeteria other infrastructures and Teaching Methods of the College. Baba Farid Law College provides a homely atmosphere in the campus so that students can learn in their comfortable zone.
Boys Hostel The college has a well-furnished hostel for boys which has facilities like the common room, TV, indoor games, shooting and volleyball ground. The hostel has also a lobby, which is used for leisurely activities.
Girls Hostel The College has a well-furnished girl's hostel in College Campus, which provides a homely atmosphere to the students and tight security for girls. The hostel also provides facilities of common rooms, TV, indoor games, whereas tennis court is in the pipeline.
Library The standard and quality of an educational institution mainly depend upon the facilities and services provided in the library. It is considered as the heart and soul of an institution imparting qualitative education. The library of an educational institution is an integral part of the academic endeavor to create a learning atmosphere. The curriculum and teaching methods of a law college require both intensive and extensive use of the material in the library. The library is being constantly enriched by the acquisition of the latest books and journals keeping in pace with the changing times. The college has set up a good library comprising a large number of textbooks, reference books, autobiographies’ of the legal luminaries and the literature on emerging socio-legal context.
Sports The college has sports facilities for all students.
Cafeteria The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
Auditorium The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
IT Infrastructure The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Moot Court Moot Court, a method of teaching legal skills through simulation of Court proceedings requires students to analyze hypothetical legal issues through drafting memorials and oral arguments, is staggeringly popular amongst students of Law.
Laboratories The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.
Guest Room The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
