Baselios Poulose II Catholicos College, Baselios Mount, Piravom, Ernakulam District, Kerala-686664,The dream of starting a college at Piravom under the management of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church came true with the approbation of His Beatitude Baselios Poulose II , Catholicos of the East. It was granted in the name of Baselios Poulose II as per the Govt. Letter No. 17365/B2/95 HE, dated 21-11-1995 and the sanction order was issued by the Mahatma Gandhi University as per U.O. No. ACA1/Affn/2084/95 , dated 28-11-1995. The realisation of the long cherished dream of the church for starting a college at Piravom was due largely to the unflagging enthusiasm and unstinting support of Shri. T.M. Jacob, the then Hon’ble Minister for Irrigation and Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala.
H.B. Baselios Poulose II , Catholicos of the East , consecrated the college in the presence of H.G. Dr. Geevarghese Mor Gregorios, H.G. Dr. Abraham Mor Severios, H.G. Geevarghese Mor Policarpos and H.G. Dr. Thomas Mor Athanasius on 1st December 1995. The College started functioning on 1st December 1995 in Santhinikethan Buildings of the Evangelistic Association of the East at Pazhoor. Prof. Baby M. Varghese was the founder principal. The college imparts value based and job oriented education to the generations irrespective of caste and creed.

Facilities
- Girls Hostel
College offers hostel facilities to girl students. Students from different parts of the state/country make use of this facility. The general administration of the college hostel is co-ordinated by Reverent Sisters. The hostel committee looks after the hostel mess which functions on the dividing system. Hostel Advisory Board, with the Principal as the Chairman, monitors the regular activities of the hostel. The principal is the chief warden of the hostel. - Gym
The college has Gym facility for the students. - Library
The Library has a collection of more than 22137 volumes covering a wide range of topics like Culture, Religion, Literature, Science, and Technology. Besides, there is a good number of journals and periodicals subscribed. The Library was automated in 2005 with Libsoft. The software makes the book issues, return, renewal, and book searching (Computer Catalogue) easier. Barcoded Identity Cards are issued to all staff members and students. The subscription to INFLIBNET-NLIST provides easy access to 80,000 e-books and 3000 e-Journals. Gate Register and Web-OPAC (Online Catalogue) are also installed in the library to provide state-of-the-art facilities. - Sports
The College provides facilities for various sports and games and encourages participation at various levels under the guidance of the Physical Education Department. - Cafeteria
The college extends canteen facilities to the students and staff. It serves snacks, soft drinks, meals, etc. The items are given at a subsidized rate to the Staff and Students. A canteen committee, appointed by the Principal, is monitoring the regular activities of the canteen. - Auditorium
The college has an open-air auditorium with a build-up area of 278 sq. meters is well maintained for the stage performances of Arts Fest, Carol Night, and College Day functions. - Medical/Hospital
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. - IT Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. - Transport
In order to cater to the traveling needs of the staff and students, a college bus facility is made available. Currently, we have five bus routes. They operate between Kothamangalam, Ernakulam, Kolenchery, Vaikom, and Thiruvankulam. - Laboratories
The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.
