The aim of the college is to develop the potentialities of young men and women and help all those engaged in the pursuit of truth and knowledge keeping in view the intellectual, physical and spiritual values. The objective of the college is to inculcate the sense of discipline, social responsibility and community service in the youth and also bring home to them the dignity of manual labor. They strive to provide society with the right kind of leadership men and women trained in various spheres who are competent to tackle the problems in life and make them worthy citizens of our community and the country in general.

Baselius Civil Service Academy offers training to Civil Service aspirants of Baselius College. The academy operates in collaboration with Ductus Academy. Due to the Covid pandemic, online classes on various subjects have started from the first week of September 2021.

- Girls Hostel
The College has a Women?s Hostel in the College premises itself with a capacity to accommodate 75 students. The hostel started functioning on 1 June 2012. The Hostel is maintained by Prof. Vijayalakshmi, Head of the Department of Mathematics as Warden. Prof. N V Leela, Dept. of Syriac acts as the Asst. Warden. Baselius College has a well equipped and a spacious Fitness Centre for the College community. This center is sponsored by UGC and it is meant for the staff and students of the college. Center was inaugurated by Former International Footballer Sri I.M Vijayan in the year 2013. In connection with the Health and Fitness centre activities, Physical Education department organizes Aerobics, Yoga and Taekwondo training and we take students for various intercollegiate competitions. - Library

The college has facilities for Athletics, Football, Cricket, Hockey, Basketball, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton and Shuttle Badminton in our college. We have a plan to construct a multi-purpose synthetic hall for Basketball, Volleyball and all other indoor activities. - Cafeteria

The college has a First-aid facility available. District Hospital, Kottayam is nearby and provides all facilities to the students and staff. - IT Infrastructure
Each Department has its own computer facility that can be used by the students and the faculty. About 104 computers with the latest configuration are available in the college. - Laboratories
The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. All four science departments have full-fledged well-equipped laboratories. - Convenience Store
The college has sell books and stationery and other articles to the members at a subsidized rate and imparts training in trades like tailoring, bookbinding, etc. to students. - Parking Facility
There is enough area for vehicle parking on the campus. Staff members and also students park their vehicles in separate parking slots provided on the campus. - Banks Facilities
The Baselius College Staff Co-operative Society is a bank that functions for all the members of the staff, both teaching, and non-teaching. The bank helps its members through various loan schemes and group deposit cum savings schemes.
