C Byregowda Institute of Technology, Srinivaspur to Kolar Road, Thoradevandahalli, Kolar- 563101, KaC BYREGOWDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY [C.B.I.T] was promoted by C Byregowda Educational and Cultural Trust ® in the memory of great visionary the late Sri C Byregowda, Ex-Agriculture Minister, Govt. of Karnataka, in the year 2009.
The college has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi, Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University [VTU], Belgaum and Recognized by Government of Karnataka.
C.B.I.T is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (V.T.U) Belgaum and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E ), New Delhi, recognized by State Government of Karnataka.
C.B.I.T is located just 5 km from Kolar city. Kolar is well Connected to Bangalore (About 60 km away from Bangalore) by National Highway and Railways. The CBIT, students who opt for Hostel facilities will enjoy a home-like atmosphere. There are separate hostel facilities for boys within close proximity to the College. Round the clock, security ensures that our students are safe at CBIT. The hostel buildings are remarkable pieces of architecture. The architecture of the hostels is inspired by the traditional design used in places where the general climate is very hot. Because of the carefully designed structure, the temperature inside the buildings remains comfortable even in extremely hot weather conditions. The hostel provides the students with daily newspapers and various magazines to make them aware of the daily happenings of the world. - Girls Hostel

The College library is the backbone of any academic institution. It indicates the quality and service of an academic institution. The CBIT library has a modern and well-equipped infrastructure. Which offers excellent facilities like. The Central Library is located at the heart of the Institution and is easily accessible to the departments; the library has a seating capacity for more than 450 users at a time The CBIT library has kept pace with modernization by introducing a Digital library with an e-journals database, CDROM database, 22 system Internet and e-mail facilities to the students and staff community. The library has also been provided with excellent facilities for the self-learning of the students beyond institution hours. i.e 8.30am to 6pm.The staff and students are using LIB software for collecting and checking the books department-wise and also can check online books availability. - Sports

On the other handsome away home is apt for our college mess hall, as we serve proper vegetarian food to our students who are residing in the college hostel.
