College of Teacher Education Tripunithura is situated in the heart of the city. College of Teacher Education Tripunithura is a teacher training institute affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University,Kottayam. CTE started its journey in the year 1998. The college offers Bachelor of Education in five optional subjects - Malayalam, Sanskrit, Social Science, Physical Science and Mathematics. It is a matter of pride that CTE Tripunithura is the only institution which provides B.Ed. in SANSKRIT subject among the various B.Ed. Colleges under M.G. University and one among the threes in Kerala State. The course extends for a period of two years consisting of four semesters The college has an excellent reputation in the field of teacher training. CTE still continues to mould the future teachers to develop dedication, morals, values, integrity and social commitment.
