The Chikodi Taluka Education Society has come up to this present state of glory and magnitude as a result of its immense stress on the education of the surrounding rural masses. The society was founded by the sincere efforts of the patrons of the locality in 1919. Ever since it has been graced as the premier society of Chikodi and its surrounding region. It has produced many great luminaries in various walks of life. The society has put its best in imparting and promoting a qualitative kind of education Highlighting truth, love, and Sacrifice. Today the society through a single campus is providing education from pre-primary to graduation along with Teacher Training courses. At present, the society has thirteen educational institutions to its credit with more than 8,500 students studying in the campus annually in the various educational institutions. The society owns approximately 20 acres of the landed area situated at the outskirts of Chikodi. The Glorious part of C.T.E Society’s College of Education (B.Ed.), Chikodi, has been a source of inspiration for a bright future of students and it maintained the reputation, quality, and standard. From the establishment every Academic year our college Trainees secured University Ranks. The Educational Institutions established by our society is running very successfully in every respect. The reason behind it is the managements’ keen interest in selecting good administrator & quality teachers. It also has taken of pain in providing physical as well as academic infrastructural facilities as per the norms of the University, Govt. & N.C.T.E authorities. The College is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, Government of Karnataka, and affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad. On November 2004 from the Academic year 2004-05. And from the Academic 2010-11onwards till today the Institution is affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, Karnataka. The Institution recognition of college under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. 1956 New Delhi. It is a co-education training institution at the secondary level with the motto to provide educational training facilities to the rural mass.
Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
Library The college has a library with a sitting of 50 students at a time in a separate reading room and more than 5000 textbooks including reference, Encyclopedia, Pedagogy, Educational journals, other Magazines, and all dailies.
Sports The college has a sports kit that will be provided to all interested candidates after college hours.
Auditorium The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
Medical/Hospital The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
IT Infrastructure The college is providing computer basic knowledge for every student.
Laboratories The college has laboratory materials and apparatus for all student teachers and a well-equipped psychology laboratory with different types of inventories & apparatus for extraordinary students to carry out action research.
