Established in the year 2000 under the auspices of the co-operative academy of professional education(CAPE), an autonomous society under government of Kerala.The institution provides an environment conducive to technical education thereby bringing out the innate talents and professionalism in each of the students. A sense of social commitment and traditional value is imbibed in the budding professionals so that they can cater to the societal needs.
Our College is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. The admissions are as per the list forwarded by the Controller of Entrance Examinations, Kerala and functioning of the college is as per the rules and regulations formulated by the Government of Kerala and CAPE.

The College Alumni Association was established in the college campus during the year 2007.The main objective of this Alumni Association is to maintain a link between the students who have passed out and students studying in this college. Senior alumni members, those who are employed in various organizations/companies can help their junior alumni members by giving information about the job opportunities and career growth available in their organizations/companies. To facilitate above objectives, the Association has been regularly organizing Onam Celebration and a meet among members once in every year.
The minimum eligibility for the B.Tech program in the merit category is a pass in the Higher Secondary examination (10+2 level) with 50 percent marks in Mathematics and overall 50 percent for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together. For the SC/ST category, a pass in the Higher Secondary examination is the criterion.

Boys Hostel
The college provides hostel facilities for all students. Men’s hostel is provided with restricted accommodation Men's Hostel Located near to the college, the men’s hostel with limited accommodation facility for SC/ST students, and for the other accommodation is arranged nearest to the college campus.
Girls Hostel
The college has provides hostel facilities for all students. Men’s hostel is provided with restricted accommodation Ladies Hostel At the eastern premises of the campus, are situated the blocks of the ladies hostel which can accommodate 200 inmates.

The college has a Library that has an exhaustive collection of Technical books of more than 20000 volumes from all branches of engineering and also has international and national Journals. The digital Library boasts of having the latest collection of CDs.
Sports
The College is encouraging sports activities amongst the students by providing the infrastructure, coaching facilities. All competitions are conducted by department vice. Within a short span of time itself college had won remarkable achievements in many sports events. Always making representations in university and state-level events.
Cafeteria
The College has the facility of a spacious and clean canteen that caters to the taste of all students and staff. The college canteen offers a variety of snacks, cool drinks, and South Indian Dishes. It is well maintained with efficient service and a takeaway counter. A variety of dishes are available to the students and staff at reasonable rates. The canteen remains open on all working days.
