College of Engineering and Technology, Payyanur, Near Thrikkuttery Temple, Kaithapram, MathamangalamCollege of Engineering and Technology -Payyanur (CET-Payyanur), established in 2011, is a private college, which had been affiliated to the Kannur University, Kerala from 2011 to 2014 admissions, and is affiliated to A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) Trivandrum, Kerala from 2015 admissions onwards.The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The school of Architecture division -B.Arch is also approved by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi. It is a campus offering technical programme in Engineering and Architecture. The campus is established by National Educational and Charitable Foundation, a registered public charitable trust, to fulfil a long felt public need for an excellent engineering and Architecture education in North malabar.
Set over 16 acres of sprawling greenery all around, College of Engineering and Technology Payyanur is situated in Kaithapram 6 km away from Pilathara in Kannur-Payyanur National Highway. The portals of this hallowed centre of technological learning which has unique designed building complex with all modern amenities which make our institution a heaven of learning, gives a panoramic view of Ezhimala hills, fully equipped with all the latest state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, encircled by sylvan surroundings and landscaped gardens giving a perfect setting for a rich milieu of both academic and extra-curricular activities.

IT Infrastructure
The college has a departmental computer lab has a client-server computing facility. There are more than 80 systems connected through LAN. The lab is also equipped with an internet facility. It has the latest design and plotting software like STAAD, Auto CAD, STRAP, NISA Civil, and SAP, etc. Apart from the computer labs provided in each department, the College of Engineering and Technology - Payyanur has a centralized computer center to cater to the most advanced needs of the students and the faculty. It has been facilitated with 50 nodes connected in LAN with a Xeon processor server. These are connected to a 2 Mbps leased line internet connection. Students can also make use of these systems, adequately supported by inkjet, laserjet, dot matrix printers, scanners, scanner cum copier, etc. The center opens throughout the year, constantly updates itself by procuring the latest software, both in design and application areas like SQL, Visual Studio, MATLAB, and VHDL. With the 2 MBPS leased line internet connection, the center has significantly enhanced its capacity to provide speedy access to the internet for different computer labs also.

The college has Owing to the prominence of its location, the institutes have ample public transportation facilities available. Anyhow the college will have its own conveyance for the students plying to most nearby towns and cities. A detailed route may be obtained from the transport department of the college.
