The premier institute, which is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, enriches the landscape of technical education by offering UG (BE) Programmes in Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. It also offers an MBA Programme.
Highly motivated faculty members, with excellent academic credentials and vast experience, work closely with the students to enhance their learning abilities and mentor them to achieve academic excellence in addition to acquiring sound knowledge. The faculty members keep themselves updated by acquiring higher academic qualifications and skill improvement.
DBIT has all the state-of-the-art infrastructure such as Spacious and Smart Classrooms, Well -equipped Laboratories, Skill Development Centre, PLM Training Centre, Kuka Robotics and several Incubation Centres to provide a superior learning experience to the students.
Industry interaction is an integral part of the Institution culture. Also, students are encouraged to participate in training programmes, guest lectures, personality development programmes so that they are industry-ready. DBIT is located at SH17, Kumbalgodu, Karnataka. Hejjala Railway Station is around 5.7 km away and will take around 10 minutes to reach the College. Bangalore International Airport is around 61.6 km away from the Institute. Students can take a bus or a cab to reach Don Bosco Institute of Technology.

The College has various national and international collaborations.
- The candidate should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study.

The Hostels are also provided with the solar heater and good Cooking accessories. Senior faculty members are made as Wardens to look after the day-to-day working of the Hostel and the discipline of borders. - Girls Hostel

The Don Bosco Library is named as Dr Raja Ramanna Center for Knowledge Resources.It was started in the year 2001 and inaugurated by Dr Raja Ramanna a great Nuclear Scientist and Physicist. RRCKR is the heart for the academic activities. It plays a proactive role in enabling access to information resources of all kind and providing innovative, responsive and effective services to meet the changing and sustained needs of the academic community. It is situated in the ground floor, spread over around 800 Sq.M in the Main administrative block. Designed in such a way it has the natural light over an entire day and provides a friendly environment to gain knowledge in an effective manner. A library has well-trained professionals to support the user community. Around 150 users can sit and read at any point in time. - Sports
The Campus is well equipped with modern infrastructure for Physical Education and sports. Training is provided in various modern and traditional Indian games. The activities include Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table-tennis, Cricket, Handball, Softball, Throw ball, Judo, Football, Netball, Chess, Carrom, Athletics, Martial arts under modern games; and Yoga, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, etc. - Cafeteria
Canteen- Canteen offers a wide variety of dining options. The menu covers North Indian Dishes, Punjabi Cuisine and South Indian Dishes. It also caters to the Non -Vegetarians once in a week, on Sundays. Menu Varies for Lunch & Dinner, every day of the week. Nutrition value is taken into account while deciding the Menu in the addition to satisfying the Taste Buds. Cafeteria- Cafeteria houses a hygienically maintained Kitchen in serving food throughout the day. In addition, Cafeteria also caters to Cultural and other Congregations in the Campus.
