DIST has also international tie-ups with foreign universities such as De Paul University, Chicago, US and James Cook University, Australia as part of facilitating an overseas exposure to the students and along with International certification for selected programs, the students also get to interact with students & faculty of the foreign universities.
Admission to B.Com Degree Programme will be open only to candidates who have passed the plus-two of the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala or Pre-Degree of Mahatma Gandhi University or that of any other University or Board of Studies in any state recognized as equivalent to the Plus Two of the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala, with not less than 45% marks in aggregate, is eligible for admission. However, SC/ST, OBC, and other eligible communities shall be given relaxation as per University rule

- Boys Hostel
The college has a boys hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Each hostel accommodates nearly 150 students. The presence of students from states other than Kerala has lifted the phase of our education to a national realm. The rooms which are very spacious and the interior amenities disposed of in tune with the needs of the students maintain the Dist hostels in demand and add to their exclusive nature. The management is very keen and particular with regard to the discipline of the hostels. There is a well-stipulated timetable for the students which provides them with ample opportunities for study, recreation, prayer, etc. The study time is strictly observed with the help of a specially appointed staff. The management has made it a point to retain a group of personnel to keep the hostel and its premises always clean and sterile. The hostel campus extends noteworthy openings for the students to augment their talents in any kind of plays like volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, etc. The food served in the hostels is always colored with a homely taste. - Girls Hostel

The college has a Gym facility for the students. Health is the quality of life that enables the individual to live most and serve best” (J.F.Williams). A healthy student develops into a healthy adult. Health Club enables students to achieve health by making them aware of what health is, what it depends on, and how to apply this knowledge in everyday life. It is proved scientifically that a healthy mind and body helps a person to perform optimum in whatever field they are in. We have a gymnasium inside the campus to ensure the physical fitness of students as it is a key to a healthy body and the basis of dynamism and creativity. - Library
The college has a library facility for all students. The library owns a rapidly expanding collection of 15,000 volumes of books, national and international journals, and e-journals relating to various disciplines. The library now subscribes to about 100 national/ international periodicals. The digital library collection includes a large number of DVDs, CD-ROMs. The library has also a DELNET membership which provides immense research and resource sharing possibilities to its users. ProQuest and N-List are the other resources for its users. The college has a spacious and student-friendly library and reading room with all the modern facilities attached to it. - Sports
