Dayanand College of Law took its humble birth in the precious hands of Dayanand Education Society in 1971, imparting professional and legal education to the young and aspiring youth of this region to pursue their career as independent professionals. The College was initially affiliated to Marathwada University, Aurangabad and later on in 1995 the College secured its permanent affiliation to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. The College is recognized u/s 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act and also by the Bar Council of India. The College is located in a sprawling campus of 22 acres of land of the Society with a separate building allotted for the Law College.
Though the Institution is located in the backward Marathwada region of the state of Maharashtra, through an ordeal of struggle and difficulties, the Institution has attained the premier position in imparting Legal Education and made a mark of its own as a role model and stands on the top of the affiliated Colleges.
The Dayanand College of Law is located at Barshi Rd, Prakash Nagar, Latur, Maharashtra. It is about 5 km away from the Latur Railway Station and 35 km away from the Latur Bus Stand. It is about 14 km away from Latur International Airport. The college is easily accessible by bus and road transport.
Girls Hostel The Women Hostel of Dayanand College of Law is infra-structurally developed and fully facilitated to cater to the needs of girls students and parents at the Hostel. The services and facilities create an ambience and atmosphere of a ‘home’ away from home. Security of the girls and homely atmosphere are its prime objectives. 1. To provide convenient accommodation with all facilities 2. To develop socially harmonious relations among the students through co residence 3. To develop all desired qualities in the students through formal and informal programs and counseling with them 4. To provide comfortable and homely atmosphere and prepare the girls to face life struggles.
Library The library is the core center for the intellectual upgrading of the students and staff of the institution. The College has been keenly interested and devoted to developing its library. The Library of the College is situated on the ground floor of the building for easy access. It is spacious with total 3051 sq ft of area. It is well lit and nicely ventilated providing a comfortable atmosphere.The Library is well stacked and systematically organized. It is the heart of our institution and plays a crucial role in all academic and co-curricular activities. It is dedicated to provide expert services to the student community with legal research guides and to look forward to assisting students and researchers for their legal research.
Sports From the beginning, the college has been taking the effort to provide with sports facilities to the students. The college is making use of the playground in front of it for the sports activities. At present, the college is having facilities for Cricket, Volleyball and like games apart from the indoor games like Chess, Table Tennis, etc. It is notable that during the past years many of the students of this college were selected to represent Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded in various events of games and sports and other extracurricular activities.

IT Infrastructure To cater to the changing demands of academia, the Institution had taken a keen interest to provide IT-based aids to the students and to the faculty which resulted in unprecedented expectations.Computers with high speed internet connectivity are provided in the Computer Lab for the students, in the Research Center for the faculty and the scholars and in the office.Senior faculty are provided with laptops for off the campus utility besides pendrives of 32 Gb capacity to all the faculty including office staff .Smartboards are provided in classrooms for the advanced and enhanced quality of teaching.LCD projectors are also extensively used during class teaching.Seminars and workshops are conducted to train the faculty and the students in using IT based teaching aids.
Classrooms The college has the classrooms facilities for all students.
Moot Court The Moot Court Club offers theoretical, clinical and practical training to the students in techniques of lawyering. The students are provided a firsthand experience of the profession through pre-trial procedures, attending the trial, interviewing, counseling, moots, legal aid, paralegal services and soon.
