The college is run by Dr. D. Y. Patil Pratishthan, which has set up multiple centers of educational excellence at Pune, Mumbai and Kolhapur. The College has various national and international collaborations.
Candidates should have passed the HSC examination or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Facilities
- Boys Hostel
There are separate hostels for boys with 24*7 security and respective rectors. The buildings are close to each other on a walking distance within the campus and are named after legendary people. This is also a part of the motivation for students as they feel unique when they step into the hostel rooms. The hostels have a common room also called a T.V room enabled with a Television and sitting arrangements as a part of the entertainment and even enjoyment during cricket matches or other events. The hostels have secured Wi-Fi facility for students and staff to browse and research for their assignments. - Girls Hostel

The college has an equipped gymnasium with an associate trainer for correct guidance and methods to be followed. - Library
The college library wardrobe consists of a huge quantum of books split between authors, topics, subjects, magazines, and newspapers. An entire silent zone with mechanized search system is serviced by the librarian who is skilled enough to handle all concerns of students. Overall we have a stock of 3000 books. - Sports
The campus has facilities of a tennis court, badminton hall, basketball court and football ground. Those who are passionate about the gym for them we have an equipped gymnasium with an associate trainer for correct guidance and methods to be followed. - Cafeteria
Yes! Not only the body but the soul should also be fulfilled by the quality of food. Every ward desire & has a right for food which is hygiene and healthy. We believe when a student’s health is good halfway is achieved in their progress. - Auditorium
A mandatory facility as a part of modern technology-based education. A fully equipped and seminar hall architected with advance mounted projector and screen. The student themselves can utilize additional facility of audio, video and recording system with prior permission. - Medical/Hospital
students of DYP the medical and pharmaceutical facilities are provided by the DYP medical college which is capable of handling any kind of issues in campus pertaining to student and staff. An ambulance is parked 24*7 in case of an emergency at the campus to reduce the risk of any unforeseen event. “Prevention is better than cure.” On each floor of all buildings emergency first aid kit with a fire extinguisher and water pipe lines are mounted to overcome unconditional calamities. - Wifi

The modern era without computers is like a desert without sand. At DYP we have air-conditioned labs enabled with internet and licensed software applications connected in a network. Wi-Fi facility is provided as another mandatory thing so students are not restricted to labs or spend money in café for projects and programming. - Transport
Transport facility is completely managed by our institution without the involvement of any Third party or vendor at this role. Pick and drop is arranged as per timings of college, with one security always in bus travelling with the students. In order to cover the entire city sufficient numbers of buses are stocked on the campus. For Industrial visits of all courses are also carried out with this transport facility. - Laboratories
The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students. - Guest Room
The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
