This college is affiliated to the University of Calicut. The college offers up-to-date, advanced, and job-oriented programmes in the vast expanding horizon of humanities, commerece, and science and technology. The college is situated at Kumminiparamba in Kondotti, 6 KMs away from University of Calicut, 2 KMs from Calicut International Airport, 18 KMs from Feroke Railway Station, and 32 KMs from Calicut City; with a congenial atmosphere for academic pursuits. The place is ideally suited for the growth and development of educational institutions for higher learning. The institution aims at the over all development of this backward area of Kerala by opening new vistas of opportunities to the future generations, without any discrimination against caste, creed, sex or colour. The college is run by Ernad Muslim Educational Association, which was formed with the objective of establishing a chain of educational institutions and cultural centres to cater to the needs of educationally and culturally backward section of the community. The college is a stepping stone to realize the objectives envisaged by the Association. Established on 1st November 1982 as a junior college, it flourished as a post graduate college today.

Those candidates who are “Eligible for Higher Studies” as per the Higher Secondary Examination or a pass in the equivalent examination are the minimum criteria for admission to degree courses unless otherwise specified.
Facilities
- Boys Hostel
The Boys hostel Sports hostel is located on the west side and adjacent to the college campus and has an office, reading facility, and mess within the hostel premises. The mess has a centralized modern kitchen and dining room. The special menu will be introduced by Kerala Sports Council. The hostel provides accommodation and nutritious food for all sports students. The rooms are furnished with a table, chair, cot, and fan. - Girls Hostel
The college has a Girls Hostel. A home away from home! It is a two-storied building with spacious rooms for providing accommodation facility to 200 students and is designed to provide an ideal environment conducive for academic pursuit. Major facilities include dining halls, uninterrupted water supply, reading halls, internet connection, indoor recreation, television. - Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students. - Library
The central library is fully automated using Integrated Library Management System (ILMS). It has a collection of nearly 30000 books, and 5000 journals, and a separate section for periodicals and newspapers. INFLIBNET, digital library, data space, remote access, Internet browsing, and reprographic facilities are the other features. - Sports
The college has a multi-facilitated stadium with provisions such as 400 Mtr. track, Cricket Field, Football Stadium, Pavilion, Throwing Pits, and Jumping Pits. - Cafeteria
The canteen is situated within the college campus. It is open for all and there is a separate seating arrangement for staff and students. All types of snacks, soft drinks, meals are available at subsidized rates. The canteen is open from 8 am up to 5 pm every day. The canteen has a food counter providing a variety of food items to choose from! A well-organized “coupon” system is followed in the canteen in which a coupon is bought from the main counter and this coupon is used to get the desired food item. - Auditorium
EMEA Auditorium has a seating capacity of 1200. It is fully centralized air-conditioned and it's light and sound system are currently being revamped. The Auditorium hosts various academic and cultural events of the college. It also encourages well-known cultural groups to hold their programs for the benefit of the students and community. - Medical/Hospital
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. - Wifi
provides 150 Mbps high-speed internet LAN and a 24×7 Wi-Fi facility in the college campus for the student and faculty members to avail seamless internet connectivity any time, at any place, in the college and hostel. The college Firewall blocks restricted and unwanted sites. The connectivity through a fully networked campus with state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, computing, and communication resources, offers the students, facilities of e-mail, net surfing, up/downloading of web content, software, and applications which are very necessary and handy, while preparing for the day-to-day study, projects, and seminars. - IT Infrastructure
The Computer Application Lab is equipped with 60 Computer systems, including HP Intel Core i3 9th Gen, Wipro Core i3 5th Gen, assembled systems with Intel Core i3 9th Gen, LaserJet Printer, and One Ceiling Mounted LCD Projector. All the systems and Peripherals are under LAN connection, having 150 Mbps Fiber Internet. So that students get to benefit from downloading data from the internet. The Lab has 1 Gbps UTP LAN under structured cabling with intelligent switches. This lab is intended for conducting complementary courses, add-on courses, and KELTRON certificate courses. Dedicated laboratory installed with a variety of software, including Auto CAD, DTP Packages. MS Office, SQL, Turbo and Tally for catering to the demands of the students and passing over the curriculum set by the affiliated University. The application lab is fully air-conditioned with adequate centralized UPS backup. - Transport
The college has two buses available for the welfare of the students. Students should avail of this bus facility with an ID card by duly paying the bus fees. Students need to pay the bus fees for the two semesters at the beginning itself. When they travel, they should daily sit on the seats and advised to avoid the footboard journey. Currently, the route schedules take care of the requirements of the students who avail of these facilities. - Laboratories
The Language Lab is equipped with a professionally engineered comprehensive end user-friendly language learning software provided by Orell Technosystems (India) Pvt Ltd with 20 numbers of a dedicated system.
