Guru Gobind Singh Medical College And Hospital, Faridkot was established in 1973 under the Government of Punjab. The Guru Gobind Singh Medical Hospital initially started functioning with 630 beds. It is a part of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and follows all the rules and admission procedure of the university. Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) for general category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST candidates.

  • Intensive Care Unit- The ICU is well equipped with multi-parameter invasive monitoring, invasive and noninvasive ventilators, infusion pumps, and dialysis, with pulse generator ( external pacemaker), bi-physic – defibrillator, bi-pap / c-pap ventilator, volumetric infusion pump, monitor with NIBP and IBP, mainstream EtCO2 monitor to treat patients with critical illness.

  • Blood Bank- Blood Bank is a center where blood is stored donated by blood donors and later used for blood transfusion needed by patients.

  • Operation Theatres- Operation theatres of Guru Gobind Singh Medical Hospital are sectioned into two types- minor and major. The minor OT is for casualty, Surgical OPD, Ophthalmology, OBG OPD, Orthopaedics OPD and ENT whereas the major OT is for General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT and OBG. All the operation theatres are well equipped with closed circuit cameras and recording systems so that students can learn and get an idea of operating surgeries.
