Balachandar Campus, East Coast Road, Manamai VillagEstablished in the year 2004 by the Padmashree awardee, Dr. Bala V Balachandran, Professor Emeritus at Kellogg School of Management, Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai is a private self-financing institute. Great Lakes Chennai has received the AMBA, UK accreditation and it has also been accredited by the South Asian Quality Assurance System (SAQS) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. Great Lakes Chennai campus spreads over 27 acres of land. The Great Lakes Institute of Management has been ranked 24th in the management category in NIRF rankings 2021. According to NIRF Ranking 2020, the institute was ranked 23rd in the management category.
The Great Lakes Chennai started functioning with 123 students and PGPM was the only programme offered by the institute at that time. Later on, Post Graduate Executive Programme in Management (PGXPM) was introduced by Great Lakes Chennai. Further on, the PGDM programme was launched in the year 2012. Currently, the institute offers a total of four courses - PGPM, PGDM, PGPM Flex and PGXPM to the students. The institute has facilities such as a gym, library, hostels, sports and many more.
