HMS Institute of Technology, NH-4, Kesaramadu Post, Kyathsandra, Tumkur, Pincode 572104, Karnataka,The Institute was established by the H. M. S Education Society (Regd.) during 1997- 98 with the objective of providing Technical Educa tion. Permission is accorded by the State Government and it is affiliated to Visweswaraya Technological University, Belgaum, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Courses Accredited by NBA. The Institute is located in Tumkur - 60 K.M from Bangalore towards Mumbai, where all kinds of Institutions like, MBBS, BDS, Engineering, BPT, DPT, Open Universities, MCA and MBA are situated. The Campus is well laid out on a stretch of over 30 Acres of land with beautiful landscaping. All the Buildings are architecturally designed to suit the natural rolling terrain. Natural surroundings and meticulously maintained pollution free green campus leaves ever lasting memory in the minds of students.

- Boys Hostel
The Institute is running hostels for Boys. The hostels are managed by a Warden assisted by a Deputy Warden. The Principal of H.M.S Institute of Technology is the Chairman of the Hostel Committees. The Hostel rooms are provided with necessary furniture. Every hostel is adequately equipped with a vegetarian mess to it. The students strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the Hostels. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. - Girls Hostel

The Library is the focal point of the Institute. It is housed in the separate spacious building. The library is having a collection of over 25,000 volumes and over 9000 titles in all the branches. The collection includes Text Books, Reference Books, Dictionaries, Hand Books, and Indian Standard Codes etc. It also has the separate Book Bank for SC/ST category students. It also has the separate Book Bank for SC/ST category students The library subscribes the E-Resources like IEEE, Springer, Science Direct, Taylor and Francis, ASCE, Knimbus etc. through VTU Consortium. The library operations are automated using library software LIBSOFT with OPAC facility to search the books by author, title wise etc. - Sports
The Institute offers facilities for Sports and Extra Curricular activities. Students are encouraged to participate in intercollegiate sports programmes, co-curricular and cultural activities. A separate indoor sports center is available in the Campus and in the Hostels. - Cafeteria
Hygiene is an essential part of healthy living. Not just selecting the right food choices but also cooking & consuming them in a hygienic way is equally important in preventing infectious diseases. One does not have to spend a fortune on healthy hygienic cooking practices. The canteen is well panned and hygienically maintained to cater to the needs of day Scholars, Hostellers and Staff. All students make use of college transport or stay in the hostel. Private vehicles like two-wheelers and cars are not permitted, in order to prevent accidents and late-comers to college. All the buses reach the campus before 8:20 a.m. so that students and faculty can have their breakfast and get ready to attend the classes at 8:30 a.m. The buses leave the campus at 4:50 pm, which helps students to reach home early and safe. - Laboratories
The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students. - Banks Facilities
Automated Teller Machine is a computerized machine that provides the customers of banks the facility of accessing their accounts for dispensing cash and to carry out other financial transactions without the need of actually visiting a bank branch. The ATM cards/debit cards, credit cards and prepaid cards(that permit cash withdrawal) can be used at Corporation Bank ATMs for various transactions. Corporation Bank has tie-up arrangement with VISA, MasterCard, Cash Net, NFS (National Financial Switch), State Bank of India, Karnataka Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Dena Bank and Bank of Rajasthan.
