Jameela Beevi Memorial Centre for Teachers Education is founded by Javab P.A. Hilal Babu for and on behalf of the Al- Ameen Socio-Cultural and Educational society Reg.No.A.214/77 as a memorial to Mrs.Jameela Beevi. P.K.Kunju Sahib, who is the founder of the society.
Considering the socio-economic and educational backwardness of Central Travancore, Al-Haj. P.K.Kunju Sahib, Veteran Freedom Fighter and former Minister of Kerala, and his beloved wife Mrs.Jameela Beevi, an ardent and committed social worker founded a network of educational institutions such as Maulana Azed Memorial Nursery School, Al-Ameen Public School, M.S.M. Higher secondary school and the M.S.M College. The P.K.Kunju sahib Memorial Higher Secondary School has been established subsequently; The Jameela Beevi Memorial Centre for Teacher Education was founded in June 2005 in the novel addition to this educational complex.
