Candidates Should have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission. However, candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Facilities
Boys Hostel
Boy's hostel at KITS offers separate hostel facilities for fresher’s, which can sustain more than 200 students at a single instance. A maximum of three students is permitted to each room. Distinctions are rendered for recitation rooms at each level which is separated from a mutual room allotted for relishing television. There is a badminton courtyard, football play arena, and a table tennis table attached to the boy's hostel wherein the students can practice events and do drills. Each level has an inhabitant warden from the teaching crew who matches the apt balance to maintain the view of the students and in the same instance observe good regulations within the hostel inner views.
Girls Hostel
Girl's hostel at KITS is offered with supreme facilities within the college campus arena. The girl’s hostel has allotted rooms, which can accommodate more than 350 members. The hostel consists of a large mess hall and reading halls. To keep the First-year students safe and secure we have kept a separate section in the hostel. Gentle curators and firm security guarantee a soothing stay, per missing students to the limelight on their academics.
Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students. Physical education is unique as it is the only program that provides students with opportunities to learn more skills, develop fitness, gain an understanding of the importance of physical activities.

The Physical Education Department is headed by a qualified Physical Education Director and facilities for Football, Volleyball, Shuttle badminton, Ball Badminton, Hockey, Cricket, etc exist. In addition, facilities for indoor games and a mini gym are also available. The college encourages students to take part in intercollegiate tournaments also.
Cafeteria
The College meets the requirements of both hostlers and day scholars, a canteen with a varied menu is functioning within the college campus. Variety breakfast, lunch, evening tiffin, etc are provided in the clean and hygienic environment.
