Every great event, it has been well said, brings one absolute new thing into the world. Such an event was, starting of the K. L. E. Society in 1916 by seven dedicated teachers and three generous patrons. Their mission was to provide education basically, to children of farming community who constitute a significant majority in Karnataka. Though modest and unadvertised was their act, yet it created a sensation in the educational history of this region.
With 270 institutions spread across Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa, each narrating their own amazing stories of enriching people’s lives, a harmony exists that is very palpable. Our alumni, settled in different parts of the world are a testimony to our achievements and endeavors and are ambassadors promoting the ‘Brand KLE’ throughout the world. Unmindful of the constraints, KLE ensures that every individual with a desire to learn, irrespective of which strata he/she belongs to in the society has access to the infrastructure of international standards. Our well-equipped hostels with modern facilities enable every student to enrich himself physically and mentally as well. To ensure that every student is keeping up with the latest developments in technology and the world, all the campuses house Internet and IT facilities.
Our qualified teachers who are committed and dedicated to their professions strive to make learning a fascinating journey and experience for all. The collaborations with universities in the US, UK and Malaysia have added a whole new dimension to the K.L.E Society making it on par with reputed educational institutions worldwide. The legacy of selfless-service and sacrifice left behind by the founding fathers is pursued sincerely by the Management to this day. Under the unparalleled leadership of Dr. Prabhakar Kore, the KLE Institution has reached enviable heights. His spectacular chairmanship beyond 30 years, with the active support of his team of elected members, embodies the collective efforts of everyone in KLE, including 13,000 members of the trust, 1,10,262 students, and 16,000 strong faculty, in making KLE an international Education-destination.
In functioning of the K. L. E. Society the true spirit of democracy runs. The management of the society is effective and ably carried out by the Chairman of the Board of Management consisting of 15 members duly elected as per the constitutional provisions of the society. The president and Vice-President guide the Chairman while the Life Members frame academic guidelines. The financial transparency is maintained through regular audit system.
While internationally renowned J. N. Medical College brings the name and fame of the Society back in limelight by the quality track record that it has set overseas, infrastructural far-superior, ultra-modern, multi-specialty 2400 beds Hospital and M. R. C. Belgaum adds to it. With the right approach and a long perspective, Chairman Shri. Prabhakar Kore and his team have set a new tradition that ‘nothing beats quality’.
For empowering students and the faculty with the global ambience in academics and their overall growth, the sponsoring KLE Society thought of achieving University status. The effort started a decade ago and as another feather, The KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research has been accorded University status by the Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi.

Moot Court The College Organised regular Interclass Moot Court and Mock Trial Competitions in the College, Select and train Panel of Mooters to participate in the outside State, National level Moot Court, Mock trial and Client Counselling Competitions, Organised guest lectures / training sessions my eminent advocates for the mooters, Organised Law Fests and provide a platform to other law college students for their performance.
