The courses started with, Diploma in Pharmacy (1968) followed by B. Pharm (1975), M. Pharm (1988), the Ph. D Programmes (2000), M. Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy (2013) and eventually Pharm. D (2014). The institution became a constituent unit of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi, [Deemed-to-University] in 2009.

The MoU for faculty exchange programs has been signed with Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, US. The institute also has an MoU with Oman Medical College, Muscat for Student Exchange program. The College has put in sustained efforts in adopting the best- available technologies to enhance the quality of the education. The College is regularly receiving grants from different government funding agencies such as UGC, AICTE, ICMR, CSIR, VGST, etc.
Passed pre-university course with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following: Mathematics/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject, securing not less than 45% aggregate marks.
