The college is located in Tiruvalla, an active commercial township in the Central Travancore region of Kerala.
The two adjacent campuses together bring an idyllic character in shape and the atmosphere around pitches an ambience of solitude, inevitable for intellectual pursuance. Amidst the lush green, stands this multi-storeyed building with a built-up area of 3, 00,000 sq. ft. The acronym of Mar Athanasios College For Advanced Studies Tiruvalla – MACFAST is also interpreted as: “Moulding Attitude with Commitment for Futuristic Action towards Sustainable Transformation”. The best faculty members combined with the state of the art infrastructure enable the optimal progression of the students through scientific temper and dedication towards excellence. To meet the challenging demands of the corporate and scientific world, research pursuits and technology initiatives are given utmost significance in MACFAST. This has led to the establishment of the MACFAST Centre for Research and Development (MCRD). The MCRD offers PhD programmes in the Biosciences and is poised to enhance student creativity and produce high quality research. A research journal titled Journal of Science, Technology and Management (JSTM), has also been initiated in 2008. JSTM is dedicated to bring together research in these multidisciplinary fields from around the world and also publish original work from the MCRD.

- International Conference on “Impact of COVID-19 on Global Business Environment”
- The School of Biosciences have an active collaboration with SAMI Labs, Bengaluru. Under this, the student from M.Sc. Phytomedical Science and Technology course has formulated a scientifically standardized herbal mouth wash and has been accepted by the company.
- The School of Biosciences also organizes various seminars, conferences and webinars in association with organizations like Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, The Biotech Research Society In India, The Kerala State Higher Education Council, Pushpagiri Research Centre, CFTRI, NISCAIR etc.
- The Department of Computer Applications offers Intensive Advanced Java Training on Spring & Hibernate frameworks in association with C-DAC, Technopark, Trivandrum.
A graduate degree in any Bachelor’s Degree Examination of any University duly recognized by M.G. University with not less than 55% marks in Science & Technology subjects and 50% marks in other subjects in the aggregate for all parts of examination or a Master’s Degree examination with 55% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST students: A pass in any Bachelor’s Degree examination is needed for SC/ST candidates. Valid CMAT/KMAT/CAT Score.

The students of Campus are provided with well-appointed hostel rooms on the campus. Separate hostel facilities are available for the boys. The library is open on all weekdays from 8.00am to 9.30pm. - Sports

It encourages students to acquire proficiency in communicative English and foreign languages. The faculty and students engaged in Research are encouraged to make use of the lab to learn foreign languages also.
