Muslim Educational Society (MES) Regd., founded in the year 1964, is the biggest educational agency of the Muslim community in India having hundreds of institutions.
MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram, the first self financing engineering college with minority status in the state of Kerala started in the year 1994, managed by MES is widely acknowledged as one of the top institutions for imparting technical education in the state.

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or equivalent thereto with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology put together are eligible for admission. 3 year diploma holders in Engineering having 50% marks in the final diploma examination are also eligible for admission to first year B.Tech and those having 60% marks are eligible for the second year under lateral entry scheme.

Boys Hostel
Men's Hostel with a capacity of 150 are functioning within the campus. Since the only limited number of hostel seats are available, admission is restricted. Preference will be given to those who come from far off places and those who have good academic records.
Girls Hostel
A Women's Hostel with a capacity of 150. Since only a limited number of hostel seats are available, admission is restricted. Preference will be given to those who come from far off places and those who have good academic records.
Library
A fully automated modern Library & Information Centre (LIC) is on its way to becoming an outstanding learning resource center catering to the ever-growing information and intellectual requirements of the students, faculty, and researchers. A state of the art Digital Library is set in the Library premises for catering e-resources to the students and teachers. A state of the art Digital library has been established in the Central Library premises with effective e-Learning materials, e-databases, e-journals, e-books, etc. It can be accessed from anywhere in the campus. The library is an active member of reputed organizational bodies like INDEST-AICTE consortium, IEEE, ASCE, JGATE, ASTM, Elsevier Science Direct, SPRINGER, Mc Graw Hill General Engg. etc
Sports
Physical Education Department of the college is catering facilities for the students and staff for their active involvement in sports. The department opens opportunities for the student to expertise and exposes their talents in various sports activities.
Cafeteria
A canteen is functioning inside the campus for providing quality-catering facilities for the students and staff at a moderate rate.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
Medical/Hospital
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
WiFi
The Institute is having a high speed Leased Line Connectivity of 32 Mbps(1:1). The facility can be availed by the staff and students during all working days.
IT Infrastructure
The Institute has state of the art computer labs and resource centers. Recognizing the challenges that the industry has put forth in terms of information technology, the institution's computer labs host a range of latest software and hardware. While computers are networked. Leased line connectivity for a bandwidth of 32 Mbps (1:1) is being catered across the network. Alternate internet connectivity of 10 Mbps[Broadband] is available to provide a backup. All latest hardware/software support is given in synchronization with the curriculum prescribed by the university.
Transport
Transportation to students and staff members is arranged through the College buses connecting major towns in Kollam. Buses run to the college campus and back, on all working days.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.
