Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church College of Nursing, Kolenchery was established in the year 2006 under the management of M.O.S.C. Medical Mission, a charitable institution registered under Travancore Cochin Literary in the year 1970. Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church College of Nursing, Kolenchery (M.O.S.C.) is one of the most distinguished institute in Kerala for training nurses. It is recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC), Thiruvananthapuram and affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur, Kerala. The College of Nursing has six full-fledged departments – Medical Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecologic Nursing and Nursing Foundations. At present the college is offering B.Sc Nursing programme with 70 intake, Post Basic B.Sc nursing programme with 40 intake and M.Sc nursing programme with 16 intake (4 in each specialty). M.O.S.C. College of Nursing is recognized as Ph.D research centre under Kerala University of Health Sciences Thrissur.
M.O.S.C. College of Nursing is also a certified and recognized Social Entrepreneurship, swachhta and Rural Cell (SES REC) institution by Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
The candidate should have passed the 10+2 Exam in the Science group with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Theory & Practical), and English.
