Meppayur Salafi College of Teacher Education, Meppayur, Payyoli Angadi, Dist. Kozhikode-673523, KereMeppayur Salafi College of teacher education was established on 1995 as a professional teacher training college, dedicated to the Education of teachers. Since 1995 this college is imparting quality education to teacher trainees. College has a glorious past with rich academic tradition and excellence. The college is recognized by the Government of Kerala, affiliated to the University of Calicut and approved by the national council for Teacher Education. The course follows the general rules prescribed for the B Ed course by the University of Calicut with respect to academic standards for admission, course of study, scheme of examination, instructional hours, practice teaching requirements, attendance of students etc. with the rules and regulations of NCTE. It is functioning in the permanent building on a beautiful campus at Kuluppa over looking Kuttiady river, nearly 7 kms north east of payyoli. At present the college is providing graduate level course in Education (B Ed) with 6 optional subjects Viz, Arabic, English, Malayalam, Mathematics, Physical Science and Social Science. The college has excellent infrastructure and premium faculty.

- Boys Hostel
The College has separate hostels for Boys. The Hostel is an oasis of rural calm and charm which is a shelter from the annoyances of city life. hostel situate idyllic location and salubrious atmosphere and Kuttiadi river flowing at one foot. - Girls Hostel

A well-stocked spacious computerized library with a well-furnished reading room is provided. The library has sufficient periodicals, magazines, journals, and news items. All the students can borrow three books at a time for a week. In addition to the subject wise books, books related to three languages are also provided. The subject-wise books are categorized into Reference and Common. The reference includes Encyclopedia, Dictionaries of different languages, Yearbooks, NCERT publication, NCF, KCF and religious books, Indian Classics, etc. Total Number of Books: 5205 Total Number of Titles: 3000 About 250 books are added every year to the library. At a time 50 students sitting capacity is arranged in the reading room. It is arranged with proper lighting facilities for the easiness of reading. The library has completely computerized like modern libraries. It will help the students to select books easily. - Sports
The College has indoor and outdoor games facilities like Foot Ball, Volley Ball, Shuttle Badminton, Cricket, etc. are available in the college. the college provides yoga training to the entire students. The College has 16 Computers with LAN are available in the lab. The lab has the facility to accommodate 32 students at a time. All important software like MS Office, DTP, Tally, etc is installed on every computer. It also Yearbooks UPS and CD Drive. - Transport
The College is providing traveling facilities to students. The institution has its own bus for this purpose. - Laboratories
The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. Psychology Lab: The psychology Lab has been equipped with a few apparatus and paper. Pencil- test items for conducting psychological experiments. These include the Transference of learning, Visual-illusion, Tweezer Dexterity Apparatus, Alexander's pass-Along Test for measuring the intelligence of children. Language Lab: The College has a multimedia language lab for three languages English, Malayalam, and Arabic. Interactive software and modern equipment are arranged in the Language Lab. It helps the student to improve communication skills, fluency, Pronunciation, etc with the help of headphones and computers each student can progress with such competencies. Mathematics Lab: Mathematics Lab consists of a Mathematical kit, charts, Scales, two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures, shapes, etc. The biographical sketch of eminent mathematicians is also included. The lab consists of working and non-working models.
