Mount Zion College of Engineering (MZCEW), Kozhuvalloor, Chengannur affiliated to University of Kerala, Trivandrum, began its four year B.Tech Degree course in 2009, with four branches namely Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering. This is a sister concern of Mount Zion College of Engineering, Kadammanitta. Due to the need and request by the community to convert the present single status institute to a co-educational one, the management tried their best for it. Since 2016-2017 academic years onwards MZCEW becomes Mount Zion Institute of Science and Technology, Kozhuvalloor affiliated to Kerala Technological University with four branches namely Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering. The college is located in the serene surroundings of Zion valley at Kozhuvalloor, Chengannur, which offers an enchanting location to experience piece of mind. The picturesque landscape is absolutely breathtaking. The institute is enveloped in green surrounding with a sprawling campus of about 10 acres. This college is sure to inspire the scholar to explore the full potential and discover the best, the assistance of well qualified faculty. The college is situated by the side of main road connecting M.C Road (at Kulanada 3 km) and Chengannur – Mavelikkara Road (at Chammathumukku 4 km). To provide better practical training, all departments have well equipped labs. Moreover, Mount Zion R & D Lab, an associated research facility of the college allows the students to do the projects at campus itself.
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks
Boys Hostel The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. It is situated about 10 km away from the college, it is managed and governed by the experienced warden.
Girls Hostel The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. It is situated about 10 km away from the college, it is managed and governed by the experienced warden.

Transport College buses ply from Chenganassery, Adoor, Edathuva, Haripad, Kozhencherry. New routes are being constantly added. Kindly contact the office if you require the transportation route to be extended to your location. Contact the Administrative Office to register for Transportation Services. Students will be issued a Transportation Identity Card, which should be carried at all times while using the College Transportation.
