Onkarmal Somani College of Education, Sahukar Chanaiah Road, Kuvempunagar, Mysore-570009, Karnataka,The college was inaugurated in 1972 by the Honourable President of India V.V. Giri and the Honourable Governor of Karnataka State, Mr. Mohanlal Sukhadia. This institution has produced many educationalist. The total land area of this institute is 4.2 acres and has a 27,000 sq.ft building with 2 acres of sportsfield and 1 acre garden. The infrastructure consists of a general staff room, a separate staff room for ladies, rest room facilities for gents and ladies, a laboratory, library, psychology lab, computer lab, reading room, class rooms with adequate furniture, office room, N.S.S. room and sports room. Moreover, facilities such as vehicle parking shed and college canteen is also available.

The College has various national and international collaborations.
Candidates with at least fifty per cent marks either in Bachelor‘s Degree and/or the Master‘s Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55 per cent marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/371(J) and any other categories/type shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government.

LIBRARY AUTOMATION: e-GRATHALAYA SOFTWARE: e-Granthalaya: A Digital Agenda For Library Automation and Networking - is an Integrated Library Management Software from National Informatics Centre,(NIC), The software provides built-in Web OPAC interface to publish the library catalog over the Internet and is UNICODE Compliant thus, supports data entry in local languages. - Sports
The College Students on a regular basis practice participate in sports such as Throw ball, Volleyball & cricket. Although in Throwball & volleyball matches, we could maintain runner-ship, it is our strength & fortune that each time our team played cricket in all these years, we have been the winner. - Auditorium
