PSG College of Technology, Post Box No. 1611, Peelamedu, Coimbatore - 641004, Tamil NaduPSG College of Technology was established in 1951 covering 45 acres of the area by PSG & Sons Charities Trust in the industrial city of Coimbatore. PSGCT shares the same campus with PSG Industrial Institute for effective interaction between the industry and the institute. The college was created with the vision to be recognised as a pioneer in technical education benefiting society. PSGCT’s mission is to mould and sculpt young professionals capable of taking the leadership role for the development of the nation. As per the NIRF ranking for the year 2021 the institute has been ranked 53rd in the management category. The institute has been ranked 86th in the overall category in the NIRF rankings of 2021 and in the engineering category it has been ranked 53rd.
PSG College of Technology is ISO 9001: 2015 certified and offers programmes in departments of technology, engineering, humanities, basic sciences, management etc., accredited by NBA/AICTE. The departments have state-of-the-art infrastructure and organise national and international conferences, seminars, workshops etc. with visiting faculty from prominent institutions. PSGCT offers research programmes supporting at least 505 research scholars at the masters and doctoral level. PSGCT closely collaborates with research and development institutes from several industries such as defence, automotive, textile, software etc. PSG has MOUs signed with industries and institutions for constant curriculum development, technology empowerment and student training and empowerment.
Madras University conferred PSGCT with the Autonomous Status in 1978-79, followed by Bharathiar University and then by Anna University. The Ministry of Human Resources Development and other agencies set up financial support for several centres for advancement in areas of CAD/CAM/CIM, Rapid Prototyping, Virtual Reality, Educational Technology, etc. Since its year of inception in 1951, PSGCT under the tutelage of Managing trustees has always been in the forefront for providing quality and innovative technical education.

PSG College of Technology is located 8 kms from Coimbatore Railway Station and 5.5 km from the Coimbatore airport. The distance between college campus and Gandhipuram Town bus stand is 6km.
For his outstanding contribution in the field of Ferrous Metallurgy, Dr. V Ramaswamy, Professor, Department of Metallurgical Engineering in PSG College of Technology has been honoured with Professor Jai Krishna Memorial Award 2020 by Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), Gurgaon.

The resources are accessible and can be availed through an online portal implemented by integrated Library Management System (PSG-ILMS). A digital library with 60 computers is run through high speed internet connectivity. The library has sections classifying books as per engineering, science, references and book bank. The GRD Library references books, patents, theses, virtual academy and plagiarism detection software tool known as Urkund for research scholars. - Sports
The Department of Physical Education manages sports arenas and fields across a 5 acre land near to the hostels.
