R MUDDURANGE GOWDA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION is established in the Academic year 2006-07, recognized by NCTE-SRC and affiliated to Tumkur University,having the intake 100. It has provided the B Ed admission for needed candidates of Sira and other taluks of Karnataka and border taluks of Seemandra and trained the Teacher-Trainees to meet the needs of the society and the pupils in advance. Majority of the out-put of our college have been engaged in teaching- learning process in different Private, Aided and Government Schools. Our college secured 100% result and fifth and sixth ranks in the academic year 2013-14. In the academic year 2014-15 also our college is expecting 100% result and more than the previous year ranks. It has planned and functioned properly for enhancing the capacities of the teacher-trainees and to draw out the best among the trainees. Prior to TET it has planned to train-up the current batch trainees to get the success in TET with guiding, motivating, encouraging and facilitating in addition to semester examination. Many of the trainees utilized this desirably and got the success with passing TET in addition to their B Ed semester examination.
Now the College got the recognition renewal for intake of 2 units of 2 years B Ed Course. ie.100 strength for I year which is continuing to II year. It is having the desirable infrastructural and instructional facilities and well qualified teaching staff. So it is raising its result continuously and got 100% result in the academic year 2013-14. Our college is providing the seats for all the community students more than the required reservation of the government, majority of all the student are sitting under a single roof and learning as the sons and daughters of a single family. College is encouraging for the harmonious environment among all the trainees and trying to get success with unity among individual differences.
Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.
Library The college library is having needful books of different Methodologies like CCM Physical Science CCM of Teaching Biological Science, Kannada Bhasha Bodane CCM of Teaching English, CCM of Teaching Social Science, Educational Psychology, Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education, School Management, Environmental Education, Population Education, Health Education, Physical Education Moral Education, Educational and National Concerns, Child Development, Education In Emerging Indian Society, Educational Administration, Educational Policy and Planning, Educational Technology, Technology in Teaching, Dictionaries of different subjects, Educational Encyclopedias, Educational Journals, Books for TET and CET, etc.
Sports The college has sports facilities for all students.
Auditorium The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. Multi-Purpose Hall is available as per the norms and standards of NCTE with PAS.
Medical/Hospital The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
IT Infrastructure The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The computer lab consists of a required number of computers for the ICT.
Laboratories The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Science lab: Science lab consists of the needful equipment/ apparatus, chemicals, specimens, etc required for physics, chemistry, and biology practical. Psycho Lab: Psyco lab is made available by providing needful apparatus, questionnaires, verbal and nonverbal tests of Intelligence, VIR, Projective tests, Performance test, etc.
Guest Room The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
