The minimum qualification required is a pass marks in 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in both the entrance exam and in the 12th standard.

- Boys Hostel
The college has well-furnished separate spacious hostels with modern facilities for boys to provide accommodation to students wishing to reside in the hostels. Well, a balanced, nutritious, and healthy diet is provided to the students of RIT hostels. In the hostel, each room is provided with a cot with a mattress, a table, a chair, a cupboard with a bookshelf, pest repellent light, and a ceiling fan (with regulator). To ensure a healthy stay for the inmates, high-quality fiber mosquito/fly net mesh screens are fixed in the windows of our hostel rooms. Laundry space with an adequate number of washing machines is provided to the students to wash their clothes. Students are also provided with hi-speed internet connectivity through Wi-Fi on their laptops. The hostel also houses an Indoor Sports arena where students can play games like Table Tennis (TT), Chess, and Carrom, etc. The Common Rooms available in each block of the hostel are equipped with a T.V and a music system. In addition, all the rooms are provided with newspapers and magazines. Avid sports enthusiasts can take their sports equipment from the Sports Room which is maintained by the physical director. - Girls Hostel

There are well-equipped international standard gyms for men and women installed with the latest equipment in the hostel premises. The gyms are furnished with strength machines, treadmills, equipment for powerlifting, weight training, and cycling. A dedicated area for aerobics and cardio exercises is also available. They are open to students to encourage weight lifters, bodybuilders, and fitness seekers. This college has Gym facilities. - Library
RIT Library is located on the first floor of Main Block and it is spread over 404 sq.m. The Library has a good collection of books covering various branches of Engineering, Humanities and amp; Science and other books related to Competitive Examinations. The Library has Acquisition Section, Technical Section, Circulation Section, Reference Section, Periodical Section and Digital Library Section. The Air-conditioned Reading Hall of the Library can accommodate around 120 members at the time. The library is fully automated with Modernlib software and barcode technologies, used for circulation section and stack maintenance, etc. The software contains various modules such as Enquiry, Circulation, Administration, etc. An OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) has been created and a terminal is provided to facilitate accessing the library resources. The Digital Library has 1200 NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) Videos in various branches of Engineering and Basic Sciences. The Digital Library also has a collection of 436 CD-ROMs and 11 multimedia systems provided with internet connections. Internet connection is available to the students and faculty members for accessing digital collections, such as e-books, e-journals, etc. - Sports
In RIT, equal emphasis is given to sports along with the curricular and co-curricular activities. We have all the necessary sports facilities including extensive space for outdoor sports on our campus. In addition to this, in association with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), it has been proposed to construct a mega-sports complex comprising of indoor and outdoor facilities at an outlay of Rs. 10 crores in the upcoming academic year. The indoor games hall would house badminton, shuttle, basketball, volleyball, and tennikoit courts. It has also been proposed to lay a synthetic athletic track for the benefit of the athletes of our college.
