Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Old Mahabalipuram Road Kalavakkam – 603 110 TamilSSN College of Engineering (SSNCE) is founded by Dr Shiv Nadar, Chairman, HCL Technologies and established in 1996, the institute is affiliated to Anna University. SSN College of Engineering offers undergraduate (B.E/B.Tech) and postgraduate programmes (M.E/M.Tech) in various fields. SSN College of Engineering has been ranked 44th among all engineering colleges in India and 83rd among all educational institutions in the country by India rankings 2020 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). It is ranked 45th under the engineering category in the NIRF Ranking 2021. The institute has been ranked 89th in the overall category in the NIRF Rankings 2021. The campus is spread over 80 acres of land. SSN College of Engineering is named after Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (Chancellor’s father of SSNCE). SSN College of Engineering has 12 departments: Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation with a grade of ‘A+’.SSNCE has a faculty strength of 259, with a faculty-student ratio of 1:15.

- Boys Hostel
SSN College of Engineering provides hostel facilities to its students. The college has a separate hostel for boys which is wifi enabled helping students to get easy access to online educational resources. - Girls Hostel
There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Each hostel has a separate kitchen, dining hall, library, television and internet facilities. Also, on-campus accommodation is available for faculty and staff members. The university also provides transportation facilities to its faculty. - Gym
To keep students physically fit, the college has a gym on the main campus. All the gym equipment are modern catering to the physical needs of students. - Library
The central library has a combination of more than 84000 volumes and 2000 titles with an online journal database helping students to meet the information needs. It also fulfils the research requirements of faculty members. SSNCE library is not just restricted to textual resources, it also offers 110 NPTEL videos and 129 web courses in various fields. SSNCE library is open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm on all working days. - Sports

There are many college events that take place in the auditorium such as guest lectures, symposia, seminars, and debates. SSN College of Engineering has a spacious auditorium that has the capacity of seating more than 1000 people at a time, equipped with multimedia projectors, high-quality sound systems,fully air-conditioned. Also, there is a mini auditorium that can have 300 people at a time. - Medical/Hospital
SSNCE believes that physical health is the most important part of life that should not be neglected. In order to ensure that all students have access to medicines and medical advice in the emergency, a well organized and equipped dispensary is provided to the students. In case of emergency, SSNCE has a van that will be available 24/7 in case of immediate transport to the hospital.
Wifi
The Wi-Fi network covers classrooms as well as common areas. This means that students can access online learning materials and resources whether they’re relaxing on the lawns, participating in activities in the auditorium or sports complex, or back in their own hostel room. Our Wi-Fi facility has become an exemplar for other institutions and several delegations have been sent to study our Wi-Fi setup and implementation. - IT Infrastructure
