The High-tech engineering college named “SARABHAI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY” is a self- financing institution established by the Space Engineers Welfare Society (SEWELS) with the approval from the Government of Kerala.
The campus, “SARABHAI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY” is at VELLANAD, a rustic village in the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city, 20 km from Central Railway station and 25 km from Airport. A vast stretch of land comprising about 25 acres forms the campus having all the prime infrastructural facilities including class rooms, workshops, hostels, canteen, libraries, fully-equipped labs, broadband internet connection, playgrounds etc. With its scenic beauty and virgin surroundings, this typical location gives the right ambiance for this prestigious institution.

1. CITIZENSHIP
The candidate must be a citizen of India. As per the regulations issued by the AICTE/University/Entrance Commissioner regarding the criteria of eligibility for admission and procedure for selection to the Engineering course.
2. ACADEMIC
A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Govt. of Kerala or any examination equivalent thereto with at least fifty percent marks in Mathematics separately and aggregate of fifty percent

Boys Hostel
The college has hostel facility for boys inside the campus. Presently accommodation is available for 400 students.
Girls Hostel
The college has hostel facility for Girls inside the campus. Presently accommodation is available for 400 students.
Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students.
Library
The College library is the establishment that supports teaching, learning, and research. The library offers an open access atmosphere with diverse collections of library resources (printed and electronic) to its students, staff & researchers. The total Collection of books (19805) owned by the library is classified by Dewey Decimal Classification, barcoded & and arranged for ease of access, consisting of several collections. Library also has a fair collection of bound journals, CD-ROMs, seminar & project reports, & previous year’s question papers. A computer database of the holdings using LIBMAS software has adequate search capabilities to retrieve the desired information and to produce adequate management reports. The circulation function is completely computerized. College Library is an Institutional member of DELNET and subscribes to IESTC-InfoTrac Engineering, Science & Technology Collection of E-journals package of Cengage Learning of DELNET consortium. Also, the Library subscribes to print journals, both National and International.

A full-fledged canteen caters to the requirements of students and staff. Two kiosks are available inside the campus for light refreshments like tea/coffee and snacks.
