Snehodaya College of Nursing
Snehodaya College of Nursing, Vallakkunnu, Kallettumkara P.O, Irinjalakuda, Kerala - 680683, IndiaSnehodaya College of Nursing is a new venture of Sacred Heart Mission Hospital Trust, which is owned and managed by the Congregation of Samaritan Sisters, the Snehodaya Province. It aims at preparing the youth as excellent nurses based on Christian and moral values. The college has got excellent infrastructure, well established laboratories and library and experienced teaching faculty. Beside the parent hospital, the college is affiliated to Medical college hospital and other super speciality hospitals in and around Thrissur District. Along with academic activities, emphasis is given to the personal and professional development of students through co- curricular activities. The College is located in a serene atmosphere, which is easily approachable by train or bus. G.N.M. Course is conducted by S.H. School of Nursing since 1981.

The College has various national and international collaborations.
- Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala / or equivalent examinations recognized by any one of the universities in the state of Kerala with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology put together are eligible for admission
- The norms of eligibility prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council / Kerala Nurses' Midwives' Council / affiliated university are also applicable
Facilities
- Girls Hostel
Presently, the hostel accommodates around 80 students. Temporarily the hostel is functioning as a part of the college building. Separate Hostel is under construction and expects to be completed by the year 2015. Stay in the hostel is encouraged to meet the requirements of the course both academic and clinical. Every student who wishes to get admitted to the College Hostel, should make an application at the beginning of academic year in the prescribed application form available at the college office. The college expects full adherence to the rules of the hostel and deviation from the rules may call for strict disciplinary action including dismissal from the hostel. Usage of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the hostel as well as in college. - Library
The college has a spacious library of 3350 sq. ft. with books on different fields of nursing and can accommodate 96 students. The Library is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the evening. The Library has an internet connection. The staff and students are encouraged to use the internet for easy accessibility of information in different subjects. Books are kept in a thoroughly professional way for easy accessibility. Important journals are subscribed in the library for the latest information and knowledge of trends in the profession. - Sports
Students are encouraged to participate in the various extra curricular activities whether it is sports events or cultural events. We conduct talent fest to find out the good talents of the college. Apart from this, students are trained properly for public speaking etc. by giving them different topics to present before the students. - Cafeteria
