Sree Kerala Varma College, Kanattukara P.O, Thrissur-680011, Kerala, India.Founded in 1947 by His Highness Sree Kerala Varma, and governed at present by the Cochin Devaswom Board Sree Kerala Varma College (affiliated to the University of Calicut) is one of the most well known academic institutions in Kerala. Located in a vast lush green campus, only 3 kms away from the heart of Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala, Sree Kerala Varma College is the biggest arts and science college under the University of Calicut.
Blessed with rich flora and fauna, this campus offers the seekers of knowledge 8 Post Graduate and 16 Under Graduate programmes besides hosting 3 Research Centres (Malayalam, English and Political Science). - Boys Hostel
The College provides hostel facilities for men. The men's hostel is in a short distance from the college campus near the NDS stadium complex of the college. men's hostel for nearly 120 students. - Girls Hostel
The College provides hostel facilities for women. The women's hostel is situated within the college campus Women's hostel provides accommodation for nearly 220 students. - Gym
The college Gymnasium is housed in the Main Block. A wide selection of equipment for fitness, training, exercising, and bodybuilding. The functions are in place at the gymnasium. - Library
The College Library is a spacious two-story building, housed next to the Administrative Block. The library has over 70,000 books, subscriptions to both online and print periodicals and magazines, back volumes, and access to INFLIBNET and NLIST. The library caters to the staff, students and research scholars affiliated to different departments. The library is equipped with an OPAC facility. Reprography services are provided in the Co-Operative store adjacent to the library building. - Sports
Prof. N D Subramaniam Stadium of the college has facilities for playing various games like Cricket, Basketball, and Football. The very significant sporting achievements of the college have their beginning in training facilities available in this stadium. - Cafeteria
The Canteen opens from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Saturday. Tea, coffee, snacks, lunch, Biriyani, etc are available. A fully renovated canteen is now functional on the campus. - Auditorium
The College provides V V Raghavan Auditorium (VVR). It is the main auditorium of the campus where programs of large scale are conducted. Seating Capacity is around 500 and the area is approximately 3000 square feet. It was constructed using Hon M P Sri V V Raghavan's local area development fund and inaugurated in the year 2006. - IT Infrastructure
The computer lab was built in memory of Late Prof. T K Nandakumaran, Dept of English, Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur. The lab is equipped with 25 computers with internet connectivity. Printing, scanning and copying facilities are available in the lab. The lab facilitates ICT-enabled teaching-learning practices. Sessions pertaining to certain papers/courses are held in the lab. - Laboratories
The Science Departments have sufficient laboratory facilities and the language Departments have language labs and media rooms for using effective methods of communication and learning. - Parking Facility
The college parking lot is located right at the entrance of the campus.
