Sri Siddhartha College of Education, H.M. Gangadharaiah Road, Saraswathipuram, Maralur Post-Tumkur,Sri Siddhartha College of Education was started in the year 1972 under the auspices of Sri Siddhartha Education Society (R) by its Founder Secretary 'Shikshana Bheeshma' Dr. H.M. Gangadharaiah (1915-1995).
Realizing the imperative need to extend the benefit of 'Teacher Education' to the weaker sections of the society and to provide professional education for the prospective teachers to work especially in rural areas, the college was established. The college is housed in a spacious palatious building in a campus spreading about 8 acres of land at Saraswatipura in the heart of Tumkur City which is a picturesque town, 70 kms from Bengaluru on the multilane National High way. Tumkur is well connected by road and railway and is just an hour drive from Bengaluru.
Since its inception the college is securing almost cent percent results in BEd examinations with many distinctions and ranks. The college is a Grant-in-Aid institution by Government of Karnataka. Permanently affiliated to Tumkur University, and recognized by NCTE, New Delhi.
We are happy to state that the college has been accredited by NAAC with 'B' Grade and is included under 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act 1956.
