St Gregorios College, Pulamon P.O, Kottarakara, Kerala- 691531, India.St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara is located in Gregorios Mount, a scenic and serene site of Pulamon in Kottarakara, Kerala State. The college was founded in 1964 as a junior college by His Grace Mathews Mar Coorilos, the Bishop of Kollam Diocese of Malankara Orthodox Church, who later became His Holiness Moren Mar Baselios Marthoma Mathews II, the Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan. The college takes the name from Saint Gregorios of Parumala, who is our patron Saint and first Canonised Saint of Orthodox Church. The affiliation of the college is with the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and the Sponsoring Agency is the Community of St. George, Bethlehem Ashram, Chengamanadu, Kottarakara.The foundation stone of the College was laid by His Grace Thoma Mar Dionysius, the then metropolitan of Niranam Diocese at 10 am on Monday 22nd June 1964 and declared open on Monday 6th July 1964 by the Late Lamented His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Ougen I.
St. Gregorios College had a very humble beginning with only a few pre-degree batches in science, arts and commerce subjects. The College entered the second phase of its development in 1976 with the up-gradation as a first grade college with the introduction of degree courses in Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics,Physics, Zoology, Politics and Commerce. The latest addition to this list is the BA Communicative English programme started in 2001. Major milestones were achieved in the history of the College with the introduction of Post Graduate courses in Chemistry (1995), Mathematics (1998), Physics (1999) and Commerce (2013).In 2015, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission re-accredited the College with B Grade (2.85 points). Now the College is making hectic preparations for second round re-accreditation.St. Gregorios College caters to the educational requirements of students in and around Kottarakara. During the course of its history of 50 years, the College achieved distinction by securing ranks at the university examinations in the Pre-Degree, Degree and Post Graduate levels repeatedly. Eligibility for admissions and reservation of seats for the First Degree Programme in Commerce shall be according to the rules framed by the tniversity from time to time, No student shall be eligible for admission to the First degree Programme In Commerce unless heshe has successfully completed the examination conducted by a Board University at the +2 level of schooling or its equivalent.

The College has a Multi-Gymnasium funded by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The multi-gymnasium is a 12 station facility. - Library
The College Library is the central facility to support the teaching and learning needs of the college. The library has been functioning since the inception of the college in 1964. It is fully automated with standard library management software. The library is also equipped with internet connectivity which the users could make use of for their academic purpose. Collection The library book collection includes about 35000 printed books and subscribes to more than 6000 online journals & lakhs of e- books through the N-LIST (INFLIBNET) program. (To access the resources under the NLIST Program, users require login ID and Password). Library subscribes to various journals, popular magazines, and newspapers. - Sports

The lab is equipped with nearly sixty computers with a dual-boot facility and all necessary accessories like a multimedia projector, scanner, and printers. A 10KVA online UPS system supplies power to the computer lab, which helps the academic community in the college to use the lab, even at the time of power failures. The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. - Convenience Store
There is a co-operative store on the campus run by the St. Gregorios College Co-operative Society. It provides various stationery items, notebooks, practical record books, assignment books, textbooks, and various application forms to the students of the college at lower prices. It produces and supplies notebooks and assignment books bearing the name of the college. The store offers a credit card facility to the students, which provides them with the convenience of avoiding cash payments for day-to-day purchases.
