ST. Thomas Institute for Science and Technology, Mar Chrysostom Nagar, Kattaikonam P.O, KazhakkoottaSt. Thomas Institute for Science & Technology (STIST) was established on 2010 by Mar Thoma Church Educational Society, Trivandrum, who are the pioneering educators with an excellent track record of more than 50 years. Our patron is Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan and the president is Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa, the Bishop of Thiruvananthapuram - Kollam diocese of Mar Thoma church. The Society runs reputed educational institutions in Trivandrum including St. Thomas Residential School (ICSE), St. Thomas Central School (CBSE), St. Thomas Higher Secondary School (State Syllabus), St. Thomas Public School and a Teachers’ training college.
The college situated in 20 acres of land, approved by AICTE, Govt. of Kerala and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, is committed to generate, disseminate, preserve knowledge and bring this knowledge to bear upon challenges we face. The thrust is to bring a strong centre of excellence with the state of art of facilities for education and research.

Girls Hostel
The college has Hostel facilities for ladies are provided on a first come first served basis, at the ladies Hostel run by Marthoma Church Education Society at Mukkolakkal. The hostel is connected to the College by the College bus.
Library
The college Central Library serves as an academic hub for technical learning and has a direct relationship with the development of each and every student. The college has sports facilities for all students.
Cafeteria
The college has a fully functional canteen serving both veg & non-veg dishes. Management takes the utmost care to maintain the quality of the food server through the canteen. Also, soft drinks, pastries, and other eatables and snacks are also served by the canteen on a no-profit basis. We have provided for two numbers of Tea/ Coffe vending machines in the two college blocks. The canteen is always cleaned with disinfectants and kept in the most hygiene conditions and properly ventilated with sufficient air circulation.
Auditorium
The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students.
IT Infrastructure
The college computing facility has more than 300 computers which are networked. All the systems are in a single Local Area Network managed by two Rack Servers. The current range of software that is available in the Labs included Microsoft Products, Red Hat Enterprise Edition, CAD software such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD. The college has a dedicated Leased line connection which provides unlimited internet usage facility at a speed of 32 Mbps. All students and members of the faculty can utilize the computer facilities.
