The mission of the College of Education is to provide quality learning experiences to develop the holistic personality of the teacher-trainees. The college strives to inculcate among the teacher –trainees the desirable values, attitudes, to develop the skills & creative potentialities. It equips the teacher-trainees with fashionable trends in education & develops love, affection & concern towards the society. The library and learning resource centre play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning activities. To inculcate the ability in the students to think distinctly and critically, it is incumbent upon all of us to instill reading habits in them. Reading not only helps to gather novel ideas but also develops effective basic study and writing skills. The knowledge resource centre reflects the teaching and learning commitment of the institute. To this cause college library has been enriched with a trove of books vital for flexibility of mind and Multi-dimensional thinking of students. Swami Dayanand College of Education has built up a very good collection of 6646 books and 21 National and International journals & 06 magazines and periodical. It also subscribes a 06 number of daily newspapers in Hindi/English and Punjabi. The further library is also enriched with the latest addition of a number of dictionaries, thesaurus and encyclopedias, and manuals, etc. - Sports
Physical Education has been considered an essential part of human life from time immemorial. Health and Physical Education is not simply content comprising of the desired change in knowledge, attitudes and practices, it is also processes that empower people and develop a capability of self-health care. With these objectives our health and physical resource centre have sufficient equipment, allied materials and accessories to promote a healthy and competitive spirit that enable the students to face challenges in actual life solutions. The annual sports festival incorporating different sporting activities such as athletics, volleyball, football, badminton, cricket, Kho-Kho, Disc throw, Javelin, Short Put etc. whereas among indoor sporting activities chess, carom & table tennis etc. competition are organized, which not only aims at physical fitness but also contributing towards the healthy all-round personality development of students.
