TCE Madurai offers postgraduate, undergraduate, and doctoral programmes which are all AICTE-approved. The campus of Thiagarajar College of Engineering is spread across 135 acres with 247 faculty members imparting education to around 4173 students. Thiagarajar College of Engineering is a co-educational institute that is privately formed and is a certified institution affiliated to Anna University. Thiagarajar College of Engineering has an AAA+ rating in Engineering rankings and was formed with the vision to impart world-class technical education

There are three nearest bus stations that can help the students reach the campus namely Palanganatham Bus Station which is 4.5 kilometres away, Madurai bus stop which is at a distance of 2.6 kilometres, and Thiruparankundram Bus Stop is just 1.9 kilometres away from the campus of TCE Madurai.

- Boys Hostel
Men's hostel is divided into four blocks having separate number of rooms and capacities. It is equipped with food courts, home theatre, reading room and garden. Medical facilities in the form of a dispensary and internet facility are also available. Occasional tournaments are also organised within the campus. - Girls Hostel
Women's hostel has a current capacity of around 960 girls and is located in an eco-friendly environment. There are two sprawling dining halls with modern equipment including steam cookers, idli backing unit, separate milk boiler, coffee maker, water cooler, vegetable peeler and cutter and an RO water purifier plant. It has been ensured that each facility is provided to the students in the form of a photocopier stall, grocery store, salon, healthcare centre, gym and laundry. - Gym
