Titus II Teachers College, Thiruvalla, a minority institution, was established in the year 1957 under the aegis of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church of Malabar and named after one of its spiritual and social leaders The Most Rev. Titus II Metropolitan and founded by the visionary Most Rev. Dr. Juhanon Mar Thoma Metropolitan. Affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, and recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), the College has always remained in the forefront of preparing prospective teachers for service to students of diverse cultures and different languages. With professionalism ingrained in them which is coupled with updated technological skills, enhanced communicative competence, responsible social behaviour and deep environmental accountability, the outgoing graduate and post graduate students have been rendering invaluable contributions in the job market world over.With six decades in the realm of Teacher Education, the college continues to remain true to its vision “Lighted to Lighten”.

Alumni Associations The college has an Alumni Association which meets annually on the Second Saturday of February. The life membership fee is Rs.100/-. It provides opportunities for the old students to keep in contact with the institution in which they have studied and the members can render valuable service to the institution as resource persons and in conducting various curricular and co-curricular programs.
