Lying in the northern part of Kerala, Palakkad District encompasses high lands consisting of forest, plantations and midlands where paddy is cultivated and it has been backward in terms of social and economic development. A major part of population represents these back ward sections. It is also evident in the absence of non-conventional courses which has high job potential in the changing development scenario. Now the task is to provide the youngsters, especially in the rural areas to pursue studies in non-conventional courses. The VanikaVaisya College of Science and Technology, a self-Financing Institution managed by VanikaVaisya Educational and Employment Trust, has the aim for providing better education that kindles the aspiration of the people and the main concern is on how to improve the quality of education. Eligibility to higher studies’ in HSE or its equivalent with at least one commerce subject is the eligibility condition for admission. Candidates who have not taken at least one commerce subject for plus two or an equivalent examination should get at least at Plus Two total GPV of 24 (in 6 subjects) in Plus Two or an equivalent examination to become eligible to B.Com Course.
